Nextdoor’s Head of Growth Engineering Discusses Viral Growth

How Nextdoor used CloudSponge to accelerate platform invitations

Nextdoor has been a CloudSponge customer for a few years, so when the company announced their expansion into the United Kingdom this February it seemed like a great time to hear hear how CloudSponge fit into their rapid growth story. Luckily, head of growth engineering Alex Karweit took the time to fill me in about how optimizing invitation flows with CloudSponge accelerated a viral growth strategy in the United States, UK, and Netherlands.

Nextdoor is a social networking service for neighborhoods that allows users to connect and share information with their neighbors. Nextdoor uses CloudSponge to make it easier for users to invite neighbors they know to the Nextdoor social network by giving them access to their address books on the Nextdoor website.
